I Am a intermediate/professional photographer and content created based in Christchurch New Zealand.
My origin is from India, i came to new Zealand to peruse my masters in international business. during my study, I realized my passion for photography and tourism in new Zealand. They say this country is none like another and i agree to as i have seen the wonders of this beautiful country and i to date am amused b its beauty.
I started photography as a support free time hobby and i enjoyed taking photo and editing them. Over the years i have improved my skills and had a few courses done in photography to further improve my skills.
I initially started taking photos mobile phones as i couldn't afford a camera. i was gifted a camera only a few months before I moved to new Zealand to pursue my masters. Having a camera certainly changed my perspectives and i was eager to learn all the functions on a camera and what it had to offer me.
I still use kit lenses to take photos and videos. Surely it has its on disadvantages but i want the future artist to see that there is more to them and they can do a lot more. Why the name fotostrokes ?
Well mostly because i find my editing skills to be that of a similarity to paintings. So basically a photo that looks like a painting. Hence foto(photo) and Strokes (painting strokes). But if you relate them to a stroke, i hope you don't have one seeing the beautiful pictures.
Anyway I started This site initially to introduce my photography to this world and now i have started a tourism business to share my experience and also help visitors of new Zealand to experience the wonders here in South Island. They are also able to buy the photos i have captured as fotostrokes.
fotostrokes is now a collaborator for epic frame adventures and other businesses who require photography work.
